developing two primary projects.
JERRIE COBB & THE MERCURY 13
Jerrie Cobb & the Mercury 13 is a nine-hour dramatic series set at the dawn of the space age, based on the true story of Jerrie Cobb, a painfully shy but intrepid pilot (Pilot of the Year in 1959) and the 12 other female pilots who ace the grueling “right stuff” astronaut tests in 1960 and 1961. When the period’s power houses (99% male) tell them they can’t be astronauts, the female pilots won’t take no for an answer.
Laurie Kahn is the originator of the series, the writer of the series pilot, and one of the series’ producers.

TUPPERWARE: THE MUSICAL
Tupperware: the Musical is based on Blueberry Hill Production’s award-winning documentary about self-taught marketing genius Brownie Wise and the working class women she inspired to sell Tupperware in living rooms across the globe. The story of Brownie’s dramatic rise and fall lends itself to song and dance. It’s a story waiting for a musical.
Working with the show’s composer, lyricist, and director, Laurie Kahn will share what she knows and provide the creative team with raw material that will be transformed into moving songs and rousing musical/dance numbers.
